Welcome Packs  

I was asked to speak in Vegas about customer care 

Whilst it was a massive honour …. I was shitting myself 💩 (Sorry Mum)

It made me rethink how we treat our customers and question if we could do better

A super exercise that helped me do this was … 

You simply follow your customer journey every step of the way from landing on your website to putting their stuff in a storage unit 

You will be amazed at all the different points you can and probably should improve 

For us …. Embarrassingly there was loads of areas we can improve 😳

One such area was when the customer moved their stuff into the unit 

Normally, for whatever reason it’s a very stressful time for the customer … So how can we make it that little less stressful?? 🤔

We designed a Welcome Pack we put in each unit prior to renting the unit. 

The Welcome Pack has included -

  • £10 Voucher for the local ice cream shop 

  • A bottle of wine

  • A card to say welcome to the site …. Your stuff will be very happy here 😂

  • A costa Voucher 

  • Sweets   

  • Bottles of water

  • Etc Etc

The list is endless at what you can do to make your customer feel loved and appreciated 

Don’t get me wrong … We don’t do all of them, at the minute I believe it’s a handwritten that you card, sweets and 2 bottles of water

Customers appreciate the human touch 

The more you do for your customers the more likely they are to leave a review for your company and tell others about your awesome company 

SO my question for you is …. How could you welcome customers into your storage facility??

A little bit of effort goes a LOOOOONNNGGG way! 

Most companies don’t make any effort so you making a little effort stands out like a sore thumb in this world
