My plane landed at 4am …. We went straight to the hotel airport, woke up at 10am, had breakie and then walked through the door at 4pm

I was then doing a LIVE presentation with Gavin Shields and James Bonnie … Which was awesome BTW (Ha not so much me but those 2 legends 🙌)

TBH I really enjoyed it and going live is something id like to do more in the future

After the presentation I pretty much went to bed haha

Brilliant book from a self made man …. So much to learn from these sorts of books 🧠

You don’t have to agree with everything they say … But there’s always takeaways you can implement in your life and business 👨‍💼

One of the things that he said that really stood out for me is -

“It’s Free To Be Nice

Been rude can cost you a hell of a lot more”

I LOVE THIS!! ❤️

This is one of those little gems that is so simple but very few put it in to practise

This applies to your professional life and business life! ✅

Let’s start with how this applies to your “Personal Life”

I think we should start each day with the aim of been that little ray of sunshine in people’s life 😎…

I know it sounds corny but been nice spreads!

It can be as simple as been a little nicer to the barrister who makes your coffee in the morning ☕️

All the way up to saying something nice and sincere to someone you care about 👨‍👨‍👧‍👦

These are little acts of kindness but can have a massive impact to the person receiving them

It’s the butterfly effect … The goodness, kindness and happiness spreads …People pass it on!

On to “Professional Life” 👔

Two things spring to mind here -

One, Your Team -

So often we look for what people have done wrong … Why not flip that …

Why don’t we look for what people are doing right??

Then tell them …. Why keep the positivity to yourself! 🤔

Two, Your Customers -

I pride myself on doing more for my customers

I constantly ask how can we do more, what value can we offer

From a welcome pack of drinks and chocolate bars, to a £10 voucher for an ice cream parlour, to a free bottle of wine ….

It’s Free To Be Nice ✅

Tilman owns a chain of hotels and its pet hate when someone try to order a breakfast at lunch time …

“Sir We Dont Serve Breakfast At Lunch … Breakfast Finished At 10.30”

He goes nuts when he hears a staff member saying that 🤬 …

His philosophy is, we have eggs, we have bacon, we have toast etc … Just put the bloody things on and serve the customer ✅
