Frank kept on talking about Standards and how important standards are …

I totally agree with this statement but Steven really crystallised it and hammered home the point

Its not word for word but this is roughly what he said … Sit back and enjoy 🙃

“We all need people in our team who have high standard barriers,

If we have a team that have high standards when a new hire comes in they will see the high standard barriers the organisation has … They will see and know straight away what is expect of them …. Heres the barrier and any less will not accepted!

The culture and the standards immediately effect the new hire in a positive manner straight away”

HOWEVER …. Steven went on to explain -

“If we have low barriers of effort and low standards the exact opposite will happen

The new member of the team will see an “it will do mentality” and copy

Even if the new member of staff is a 10 and the rest of the team are 4 or 5 that 10 will soon go down to the mean …. Or at the very least be effected negatively by the others”

I 100% agree with Steven!

You are the average of the 5 people you spend most time with

The people close to you effect you more than we ever realise

If you hang around with 5 drunks … You will become the 6th ❌

If you hang around with 5 people who go to the gym 4 times a week and take fitness seriously … You will become the 6th ✅

You and me are a product of our environment … We have this opportunity to create the environment at work.
