This is a direct quote from Ishan Haque, a guest on my first million podcast -

“There are very few moments in your life were you can make all the money 

When these moments happen, you first need to realise this is one of those moments and second, act accordingly and take massive action”

Powerful words and something I totally agree with 

Most of the stuff you and I do on a day-to-day basis doesn’t mean anything and doesn’t move the needle

BUT 

We then have a moment when an opportunity arises … This is when we must act and act FAST 🤓

Bringing this back to self storage 

One of those moments came alone for me last year -

I spotted a site I liked in Glasgow butttt 

They already had an offer accepted (or just about) 

I gave the agent an extra £1,000 and the landlord £10,000 as a gesture of goodwill 

BUT … The deal was we had to be at heads of terms that day (I didn’t want the other interested party upping their offer) 

4:55 pm, the HoTs came through 

Deal done

Whooppp whoop 

This was one of the moments where I had an opportunity to make money, and I took it 

Fast forward 12 months, and the site is 90% full and doing exceptionally well 

Be aware of the life-changing moments 

They don’t come around all day, every day, BUT they do happen 

We just need to be in a position to act and capitalise when one comes our way
