5 reservations across the facilities .... And get this, not one site reported a negative Square Footage! How about that

  • 1 - Titan Self Storage Acquire Wrekin Self Store in Telford!!

It looks a bloody great deal ... 90% plus occupied and they are going to expand the facility an extra 22,000 Sq Ft! ...

.... Wish i'd have beat them to it to be honest ;-)

  • 2 - Billingham Self Storage in Hartlepool set to open phase 2!!

This is bitter sweat for me, as Hartlepool has been on my hit list for some time.

I dont know Billingham self storage personally but I have been in their sites and know they do an outstanding job ... Wish you guys all the best. Hartlepool is a home run for you :-)

  • The Sheet is wrong .... We had 1 RESERVATION .... Whoooppp haha

  • Were still in the transitional period for Wrexham ... The previous owner is still working there until we can put the technology in the site to make it manless

  • So the site isnt been run how we would ultimately like to run it at the minute ... We havent turned on any marketing yet either. Theres no point filling up a leaky bucket, we need to fix those leaks first and foremost

  • Nothing happening at Wrexham at the minute ... Early days!

As you probably know, most self storage operators have been losing SQ FT recently.

I personally put that down to the amount of custom we have gained over the last 2 years due to CVID ... People had to move out sometime

Heres the impact CVID had on a mature self storage facility -

Heres my yearly Revenue for my Beverley site from 2017 - 👇 👇

  • 2017 January 1st - December 31st - £108,179

  • 2018 January 1st - December 31st - £121,935

  • 2019 January 1st - December 31st - £129,862

  • 2020 January 1st - December 31st - £135,509

  • 2021 January 1st - December 31st - £152,789

  • 2022 January 1st - December 31st - £154,927

CVID.. Increased my Revenue 20% on my mature self storage site 🤔

Pre CVID we hit £129,000 RevenueLast year we hit £155,000 Revenue

Thats a 20% increase in Revenue

Not as much of an impact as Willerby (newer site) but still a positive impact 💩

Crazy to think that CVID destroyed some businesses and helped others. I feel very lucky but also very guilty the fact CVID helped our industry 😪
