What % of revenue should your Etbitda be? 🧐

GREAT QUESTION!

It obviously depends on your sector … For this instance we are talking about self storage 📦

Ive just been a guest on a major podcast and I got asked this question

As it happens I have been looking in to this recently

Mine percentage is 58%

So for example if I take £1 million

I would expect my ETBITDA to be £580k

I have looked in to the bigger boys and there ETBITDA percentage is a bit bitter (as you’d expect with economies of scale)

The bigger boys will be expecting to hit between 60 and 65%

So if they take a Million they would expect to hit between £600 and £650K

(To be totally transparent, my ETBITDA in the above example is “adjusted ETBITDA”. Its an accountancy practice to add back certain expenses

Don’t worry if this doesn’t make any sense to you I just wanted to make sure I made that clear)

Hopefully my percentage will increase with the power of economies of scale!
