Self Storage Tip - 💡 💰 🤑

Firstly I NEVER post the same content on my podcast, Linkedin and Newsletter on the same day …. BUT, this is slightly different because yesterday was our 7 year birthday ❤️

I want to share with you the growth over the 7 years …. Its good to look back over the years and see what we can learn.

The big take away in the 7 years has to be revenue management -

• Regular Price Increases (every 9 months)

• Minimum Insurance Per Room Size

We have lost occupancy this year (expected after CVID) but the revenue has just about stayed the same …Thats because of a strong revenue management in place

October 2016 - September 2017 -
Revenue = £131,176

October 2017 - September 2018 -
Revenue = £323,120

October 2018 - September 2019 -
Revenue = £409,150

October 2019 - September 2020 - 4
Revenue = £457,412

October 2020 - September 2021 - 5
Revenue = £743,538

October 2021 - September - 2022 -
Revenue = £876,182

October 2022 - September - 2023 -
Revenue = £867,837

Slight drop in last years Rev … but we did lose a lot of occupancy at the start of the year so I’m ok with that
(We will clear the £900k this year and maybe even hit the cool £1 Mill)

Some monumental mistakes from yours truly in the 7 years ha … what else would you expect. 🤷‍♂️

Ultimately it’s been an awesome 7 years and I’m lucky to have found such an amazing industry.
