Are you insulating your outdoor containers??

Firstly, let me say I am a MASSIVE advocate for containerised self storage! 👏

Every site I have has containers on it 

I think containers are a great solution for customers and a great revenue generator 💰

Anyway on with the Horror Video 😳

This video was sent to me last week ….

This particular container has a lot of ventilation holes (You can see on the full video but I’ve clipped it because of the size), these are supposed to help stop condensation … but obviously, it’s not helping enough here. 

As self storage operators our number one priority is to protect our customer’s goods ✅

I think we can all agree you wouldn’t want to put your goods in here 

So what can be done?? 

There is a solution to prevent this … 

Insulate Your Containers!! ✅

Yes, it costs a little bit more money but I think we owe to our customers to provide the best storage solution possible

If you aren’t insulating your containers you are putting your customer’s goods at risk ❌

I won’t buy another container without insulation …. No matter how many ventilation holes it has

The ventilation holes clearly don’t work when there is fluctuating temperatures as we’ve been seeing recently 

PS … Please don’t take this as a dig at container sites, it’s really not!! 

I’m at Heads Of Terms for a container site at the minute! I love them but I love them done right! ♥️
