Im back from the caravan .... Well for a couple of days! 

After been in a tourer you appreciate the little creature comforts a house gives you ... Like hot water .. ha, yeah the hot water in my van wasnt working ... Love those cold showers in a morning, really gets the blood flowing :-/

  • 1 - Life Storage share price up 3.8% after acquisition

Im really interested how this plays out ... As you will probably know I am a massive fan of growing through acquisition. Ha and this is right up there as the biggest acquisition in self storage history

  • 2 - I bloody love this!!

Manhattan mini storage is expanding!! They are expanding by converting an old cinemas into 1200 self storage units! 

The reason I am highlighting this is because I believe there will be lots of opportunities like this popping up. Wether it be a cinemas or retail shops, times are changing which means there will be properties coming vacant in great locations. 

Keep your eyes pealed!

  • 3 - The happiness of my team is my main priority .... This article talks about the demands that are put on some self storage staff

Its not a massive article but I think its thought provoking and a reminder how we treat our staff. 

Just yesterday I was talking to someone in the industry and they were telling me about how much expectation was put on them after hours ... and were not talking about the emergency phone. 

I would rather upset my customers than upset my staff and I think most business owners are the other way.

As regular listeners will know I was on holiday on Monday and didnt have my analytics login (wally) so I couldnt give you my website conversions 

Below is my website visitors for my Store More sites -

  • 276 visitors 

  • 23 Reservations (just Willerby and Clough Rd)

  • 8% conversion rate

Some impressive figures here BUT please remember a lot of the reservations will have come from previous weeks quotes. 

I am slightly concerned with the website traffic ... I aim for over 300 each week. Something to keep an eye on in future weeks
