When Mark (Markie Baby) Prince joined Store More I told him that by the end of 2025 I want to have 15 sites

Ha …. I know, big ambitions … But we are slowly getting there

Were on 6 now …. and we have 2 more at Heads Of Terms

Ive been sworn to secrecy on one of them but I will be able to tell all before the end if September 🙌

So thats why I cant wait to get back to work ….

Talking about loses … Im getting literally 100s of messages asking advice (appreciate it, I really do and I will try my very best to get to you all) BUT I do feel like an imposter because im winging it as much as anyone 🫣 …

SWOT Analysis

This is an oldie but a GOODIE!!

So many businesses overlook doing a SWOT Analysis … And some people don’t even know what a SWOT Analysis is.

So in today’s newsletter, I’m going to tell you what it is and give you an example as to how I use it 🤨 

S = Strengths

W = Weakness

O = Opportunities

T = Threats

Example for a quick SWOT Analysis for the Wrexham Acquisition (This is just a quick example for you) -

STRENGTHS 

• Site has long term customers

• Been open for 15 years

• Good position

• Long Lease

• Had Capital in the bank

• Good price

WEAKNESS 

• Low Lettable Sq Ft

• Doesn’t open on Sundays and Thursdays

• Only open half a day on Thursday

• Poor sales processes

• Outdates systems

• Low profits

• Rent increasing in a year

OPPORTUNITIES 

• Make the site manless and save £20,000 in wages

• Put containers in the car park and increase the revenue by £100k

• Put our revenue management in place and increase revenue

• Increase the internal lettable Sq Ft

• Improve the opening hours for the customers

• Increase the technology to make it easier for customers to rent units

• Improve the existing sales process

• Introduce insurance to current customers

THREATS

• If anything goes wrong we’re 3 hours away

• We’re new to the area and don’t know the competition and how they operate

• Customers may not like the improvements

• It’s a small site with a limited upside

Wow … I’ve just spent 10 minutes doing this off the cuff and to be honest I have got loads from this exercise.

I’ve realised what a bloody great deal Wrexham was 👏 Haha

It’s an overlooked exercise but it’s really does get your brain thinking differently 🤯
