It seems like im writing this every week at the minute 🤷‍♂️

Think its important to acknowledge when we make mistakes …

Its not making the mistake that matters … but how you handle it

So the Fuck Up ….

I was on holiday in Devon and I get a call from Angela at 9am …

This cant be good I thought

Ha it wasn’t

The gate broke at Wrexham, it was jammed and couldn’t be fixed for 24 hours

But worse than that ….

Because a customer couldn’t access his unit it meant he couldn’t go to work. Aww man I felt terrible 😮‍💨

I always ask … Can I turn this into a win? Is there anything I can do to make this situation better? 🤨

At this point I think its fair to point out things like this will happen and they are out of your control, but what is in your control is what you do next … How you show up, how you handle the issue

On this occasion I couldn’t turn it into a win but I could make it slightly better for the customer

We obviously had the customers address so we sent them a £100 hamper

It doesn’t change the fact we let them down with access

But it does show we care and we are sorry

AND GUESS WHAT ….

He left us a 5 star review … RESULT 😊

When you mess up think of it as an opportunity to build trust and deepen the relationship with the customer …. And I get that opportunity a lot 😅🫣
