Mentors = A cheat for life!!

I spoke about this on the Hacking Self Storage podcast on Friday and had a blooming brilliant response. 

I was talking to a good friend and fellow business owner yesterday. He was asking what advice I would give someone in business .... I said, "Find a mentor". 

So many people get scared by the cost connected with mentors but you dont have to spend 10s of thousands of pounds ....

.... There many many different ways of learning from mentors. Mentors can be -

• A book author

• A podcast host … Ha or even a newsletter ;-)

• A Youtube channel host

• A Tiktok account

When I say mentor, all I’m really saying is “educate yourself”.

Of course, you can pay for masterminds, pay for 1-on-1s, pay for courses, pay for consulting, etc etc ... But you dont have to. You can start with the free or nearly free stuff and learn that way.

The main thing is to start learning and educating yourself. There’s loads of good resources out there ..... Please dont let money be a barrier to education!! 

I wanted to brush up on my sales ... what did I do, I went to my podcast app and typed in sales ... Booom, loads of podcasts all about sales. 

Whatever you want to improve there will be a mentor to learn from .... From piano to parenting, there’s resources out there to learn from. 

My wife wants me to take a course on being a better husband .... haha, yep there’s even mentors for that! But, as you know, I’m perfect in that department  .... haha ;-) 

My wife says she reads this email .... Guess I’ll find out … I’m not scared, your scared 🙂
